Ecommony (as detailed by Friederike Habermann) refers to unified alliance as an alternative to capitalist understandings of property, profit and competition, an investigation made possible by exploring the opportunities and potentials of caring, sharing and openness in lived practice.
To date, the Trafostation has provided a stage for art formats that allow for a unique level of communication and experimental sharing. The Trafostation cultural space is now extending these values of sharing and belonging from its stage to its financing and organizational systems, securing a basis for the sustainable, long-term continuation of uninhibited and unconstrained art and culture in Münster.
